Commander Tip Sheet
Upon Taking Command:
Fill out CAPF 27 and send this to your group commander to go up the chain of command. This form can be seen on GoCivilAirPatrol.com under Forms. If squadron meeting location changes, a new CAPF 27 form needs to be filled out and submitted.
Fill out CAPF 2a and send this to your group commander to go up the chain of command. This form can be seen on GoCivilAirPatrol.com under Forms.
Fill out CAPF 172 (new finance committee). It is hard to find a blank CAPF 172 online so Click here to view / download a Blank CAPF 172 Consolidated Finance Authorizations form. This also has to be filled out each year by Sept 15th and sent to the wing administrator with a pre-date of 10/1 for the new financial year. If you take over command in August and fill out the CAPF 172, you will need to fill it out again in September. It is ideal to have an odd number of senior members on the finance committee (have to have at least 3 but preferably 5).
The new finance committee also needs to be listed in a memorandum format (same information as in CAPF 172, but for some reason also needs to be done). Example of memorandum:

Any time your squadron organizes an event outside of your usual squadron meeting time / location, you need to make sure the project manager fills out a 7a form from the Wing Website. If another squadron has organized an event and invited our squadron to join in, that other squadron would have filled out the 7a form and our squadron does not need to fill one out.
